Moving site with nice URLs to subdirectory

Sometimes, a website with already established nice-url system must be moved into /subdir. If you are using structured nice urls, sucha s /cathegory/subcath/article, you can easily strip off the /subdir and work as usual:

Code:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^subdir/(.*)$ /subdir/index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]

This applies for http://www.modxcms.com/ is for eample.
